What are scented crystals or rocks?

What can I use them for?
For pure and natural whole room or office air freshening. Place them in a non-porous container, glass or metal is best (not plastic). Occasionally stir your Scented Rainbow Rocks; rotating them releases additional aroma. Try placing them in those forgotten areas such as closets and storage rooms to absorb that closed-up odor. Mix in a splash of refresher oil for an extra burst of fragrance!

How long do scented crystals last?
Scented Rainbow Rocks will retain their fragrance over one month (without adding replenishing oil) and three to five months overall depending on the environmental conditions of the room. Direct sunlight and strong air exposure will cause the fragrance oils to evaporate faster but will not affect the ionic value.

The scent was strong at first but now it’s not?
Eventually, all of the scented oils will evaporate and will need to be refreshed. Place the crystals in a zippered lock bag and add refresher oil. We recommend pouring 1/3-1/2 the vial into the crystals. Then, shake the bag to mix the oil into the crystals. We recommend leaving the crystal potpourri in a bag for a few hours, then place back into the glass container. This leaves the other 1/2 vial for bi-weekly refreshers by adding a few drops and gently stirring the crystals in their display container. More oil for a stronger scent, less for less. It’s up to you.

May I wash them off with water?
Washing Scented Rainbow Rocks is NOT recommended. Doing so would wash the color and fragrance away… the sea salt crystals would dissolve and you would be sad.

How many do I need to freshen the air in my home or office?
Use the regular 18 oz (over 1 full pound!) pouch for small spaces to average size rooms. Use the 1 ½ - 2 pouches for spacious rooms and areas with high ceilings. Depends on the level of freshness desired. Display the contents of the entire pouch together. Spreading smaller portions of the bag (NOT recommended) accelerates evaporation and lessens fragrance intensity.

Are the crystal rocks safe?
Yes, the scented rocks with uncut fragranced oil smells great but tastes nasty so as soon as it touches your tongue you would want to spit it out, leaving a bad taste in your mouth. Drinking juice or soda can help eliminate the taste of the oil. They should be placed out of reach of small children and pets because they look appealing and could be a choking hazard. Scented Rainbow Rocks are non-toxic. No flames, no harmful smoke. While Scented Rainbow Rocks are eye appealing, please KEEP SCENTED RAINBOW ROCKS AND ANY PRODUCT OF ITS TYPE, UP AND AWAY FROM CHILDREN. Please treat your pets as if they were small children. What exactly does the term Ionic mean?
Seawater crystals release ions (atoms or molecule with a charge) that energize and help purify the air. These can combine with oppositely charged particles, making the air we breathe smell cleaner.

What happens if I spill some replenishing oil?
To remove the oil from clothing simply spray the stained area with some form of spray and wash making sure the entire spot is covered. Let it sit for about 3-5 minutes then wash in warm to hot water.
To remove the oil from your carpet simply spray area with some form of Resolve or Spray–n-Wash type of product and let sit for 3-5 minutes. Scrub with a damp cloth using forceful strokes.

How large an area will the crystals cover?
One regular 18-ounce bag will cover a 12x12 area about the size of your master bedroom, with a nice light background fragrance. For the bathroom we recommend using half of a bag because the fragrance can become overpowering in smaller rooms. Also, in a
much larger room, such as a family room, you may want to use 2 bags to reach your desired fragrance.
